Is nature a living entity
New Zealand river is the world's first 'legal person' (http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/03/zealand-river-world-legal-person-170316091153248.html). A mountain is a living entity (http://www.japantimes.co.jp/…/himalayan-glaciers-granted-…/…) and hiking to the mountain is a way to gain spiritual power (http://www.onmarkproductions.com/html/shugendou.html). Every mountain has his/her own spirit, his/her own personality, and the goal of hiking is not reaching the top but to unit with the personality of this particular mountain. By taking e-bikes or similar rope ways there is less respect for the mountain gods. It is clear, we all get older, and some of us might get ill, and it is meaningful that this kind of walking-sticks are available. But respect the mountains; the sweat, the blood, the tiredness, and sometimes the necessity to give up, this belongs to the mountain experience and brings us close to the mountain god and to spiritual enlightenment. The mountain is not a piece of gravel and stone that has to be climbed as fast as possible, every mountain has his/her soul, and we should respect this. However, as long as e-bikes are not using the hiking trails but country roads there is less of a problem. There is space for everyone in the mountains, but we should respect the soul, the character and the personality of the mountain.
